http://www.ncentertainmentlaw.com/wp-content/uploads/slideshow-gallery/wide_bong_pic_marked.jpg
The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown was formed in 2007 by John Heintz, John-Paul Miller (Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band), and Derrick Johnson (Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band and Asheville Horns). The idea first came about during a Galactic, Lee Boys, and Papa Grows funk jam in Copper Mountain, CO. During that summer, many of us in The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown had jammed together at the festivals while touring with our primary bands. It was through these 'sit-ins' that John met JP and Derrick and started brainstorming how to make it all happen. Click on the slide or visit www.bigolnastygetdown.com for more.

"When I first heard this album, I just sighed because I felt like I'd found a comfortable pair of Levi 501s. This is rock, big and bold like The Who. It's rock with some twang like The Eagles. It's rock with lyrics that are thoughtful, understandable, edgy, and not drowned out by the music. It isn't rock from the 60s and 70s, but it is clearly cut from that same bolt of cloth."
